George Houseman was born in Dacre, Yorkshire, England.

George was born about 1727.
Margaret and George were married on 14 June 1759 at Hartwith[1]. They had seven children: Thomas (1760 - 1858), Elizabeth (1761 – 1794), George (1763 – 1800), William (1765 - 1845), Benjamin (1767 – 1846), John (1770 - 1840) and Margaret (1775 – 1805).
George worked as a weaver (see Margaret's baptism, 1775)
He died in July 1815.
