Biography

Judith was born 28 Feb 1824 and was baptized the next day in L'Île-Perrot. She was the daughter of Michel Houle and Angélique Dugat dite Labreche. Godparents were Louïs Laviolete and her aunt Judith Dugat dite Labreche, no signatures. [1]

On 27 Jan 1845, in St-Michel-de-Vaudreuil, Charles Desrochers adult son of Antoine Desrochers and the late François Clausier married Julie Houle minor daughter of the late Michel Houle and Angelique Dugat. Several named relatives are witness, only one signature, Joseph Fournier. [2]

Julie Houle, 65 year old wife of Charles Desrochers, died 6 Dec 1886. She was buried 9 Dec 1886 in St-Luc-de-Curran cemetery. [3]

Research Notes

  • Find A Grave has her burial in Cimetière Notre-Dame, Gatineau, Région de l'Outaouais, Québec, Canada. [4] However no evidence is given to support this. Her sépulture clearly documents that she was buried in Cimetière Catholique St-Luc de Curran. It is likely that is where her headstone can be found, if she has one, unless she was moved to Gatineau at a later date.
