Biography

Katherine (Hoskins) Meares was a Maryland colonist.

Circa 1628 -- Katherine Hoskins was probably born in England, but we find no evidence that she was d/o Bartholomew Hoskins the "Ancient Planter." Bartholomew was known to be at Lower Norfolk Co VA by 1616. He married widow Dorcas Foster on 3 Jul 1628 at St. Dunstan's Church, Stepney, London and their son Bartholomew was baptized there on 11 Feb 1632/33.^[1]

Circa 1647 -- Thomas Meares and Katherine Hoskins were married^{[citation needed]}; children (surname MEARS):

Circa 1649 -- Katherine Hoskins Meares died possibly at Talbot County, Maryland.
