Biography
Jacob was born in 1839. He was the son of Ludwig Horn and Elizabeth Lind.
Jacob and his family were preparing to immigrate to the United States. As they were traveling from Germany to France, where they would board a ship to cross the ocean, little Jacob became ill. He passed away in 1940 and was buried in France.
The following text of his death certificate was found on his profile on FamilySearch:[1]
"Death Certificate: The Mayor of the community of Graville-L'Eure certifies that a Declaration of Death for Jacob Horn, a native of Heimersheim, Germany, son of Ludwig Horn, journeyman, and Elizabeth Lind, died on May 22, 1840 in Erigauville, Rue de Normandie. The Mayor of the community states that the Certificate of Death is in confirmation of the law. (signed) Mayor of Graville-L'Eure, Alelyries"
