Gertrude Constance Hordern, the fifth child of Edward Hordern and Christiana Stack, was born in 1877 at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.[1]

She married Royston Davey on 23 November 1908 at sea.
DAVEY—HORDERN. The marriage of Royston W., son of Mr. Thomas Davey, Yuralla, Malvern, and Gertrude Constance, daughter of the late Mr. Edward Hordern, of Sydney, was celebrated on Monday, November 23, on board the R.M.S. Mongolia, before reaching Fremantle. The Right Rev. Dr. Goldsmith, Bishop of Bunbury, officiated. The bride's uncle, Mr. Samuel Hordern, gave her away. The ceremony took place in the saloon in the presence of Mrs. Samuel Hordern, Mrs. Gaden (cousin of the bride), Messrs. A. and L. Hordern, the captain, and purser.[3]
She did honorary work with the Anglican Church Hospitals in Melbourne. From 1919 to 1928 she was engaged in work at St Luke's Hospital in Darlinghurst and her final position was Secretary and Director.
Gertrude Constance (née Hordern) Davey died in 1949 at Manly, New South Wales. [4]

DAVEY, Gertrude Constance -April 28, 1949 (suddenly), at Deewhy, loved wife of Roystone Davey and third daughter of the late Edward Hordern, of Sydney (after a long illness). Privately cremated April 29, 1949.[5]
