Editha was born in 1901. She was the daughter of Carr Hordern and Frances Dryland. She passed away in 1987.

Sydney Morning Herald (NSW : 1842 - 1954), Monday 25 October 1926. [2] WEDDINGS. AITKENS - HORDERN. The marriage or Miss Editha Hordern, youngest; daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. Carr Hordern, of Chilslehurst, Chatswood, to Dr. N. M. Aitkens of London, was celebrated at St. Paul's Church, Chatswood, on Saturday afternoon by Dr. Harrington Lees, assisted by Rev. F. Hugh Hordern, Dr. Cranswick, and Rev. D. Knox. The bridal gown of Ivory marocain was brocaded in silver, and showed touches of pink velvet. The train of pale pink tulle was trimmed with velvet and pearls. The bride wore a veil of honitan lace, and carried a sheath of pink begonias, carnations, and salamander. The bridesmaids were the Misses Mary and Noel Hordern, who wore frocks of pale pink kilted georgette. Mr. E. D. Hordern, brother of the bride, was the best man. Mrs. E. Carr Hordern, wearing a navy marocain frock, bordered In Oriental tones, and carrying a scarlet posy, received the guests at a reception given at Chislehurst after the ceremony. When leaving for her honeymoon, the bride wore a frock of bois de rose crepe marocain, and a hat to tone.
