William Walter Hord was born in 1867 in North Carolina, United States, son of Richard McDowell Hord (1833–1902) and Matilda Catherine Parker (1845–1886).[1]

William married Lula R Hollifield (born on September 26, 1868 in North Carolina; daughter of Noah J. Hollifield and Sarah Ann (Walker) Hollifield). Their daughter was Beulah Agnes Hord (1896–1996).

In 1870, William (2) was in the household of R M Hord in Cleveland County, North Carolina. [1]

In 1920, William (52) was living in Cherokee, Spartanburg, South Carolina. [2]

In 1940, William W (72) was living in Chesnee, Cherokee Township, Spartanburg. [3]

William died in Spartanburg County, South Carolina.
