Enlisted for war service 17 Aug 1914 at Melbourne, Victoria. He served at the front in France. Was killed in action 29 July 1917 while serving in the 58th Battalion. He was buried in the vicinity of Polygon Wood, Flanders.
Died 27 SEP 1917. WW1 Age: 22-23.
