My Holt ancestry is shown by DNA testing to trace to Hans Michael Hold/Holt of the 2nd Germanna Colony in VA, immigrating in 1717. Many of my other ancestral lines go back to the American colonies, mostly Virginia, the Carolinas, Georgia, Tennessee, and Kentucky. This include Smith (who doesn't!), Holt, Wilson, McDonald, Figgins, Youngman, Davis, and Martin, and of course many others.
