Robert was a tall, heavily built man with thick white hair. They always called each other “Sweetheart” or “Darling”. There was always a lot of love in their house. They died three months apart in 1940 and the family felt Robert didn’t want to live without his wife.
Four of Ada ’s sons served in WW1. Two died, one returned home wounded and the other psychologically damaged.
