Biography
Stephan Holmström was born about 1737 (calculated from his age in the death record). According to an article about his son Hans Olof, who became bishop and arch bishop, Stephan was born in Överselö parish, the son of a farmer.
Stephan married Engela Risberg born in 1749, on August 19, 1781 in Stockholm.[1] They had four children:
- Engela Margareta b. 1783
- Hans Olof b. 1784. Bishop in Strängnäs, Archbisop in Uppsala. Married twice.
- Carl Fredric b. 1786
- Hedvig Carolina b. 1787.
Stephan died on 10 Jun 1806 in Nibble, Ösmo, Stockholm aged ~68.
