Donald Holland
Biography
Donald was born to Lola Holland and Ellon Dawkins in January of 1943. Donald grew up in Bastrop, Louisiana and spent most of his childhood outdoors hunting, fishing and of course getting involved in childhood mischief. He moved to San Diego, Ca when he joined the U.S. Navy.

Donald served in the US Navy as a diver, stationed in San Diego, Ca. aboard the USS Nereus. During his time in San Diego he met his wife, Janet Page. They married Feb 1965 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas and welcomed their very first child, Diana Holland on November 5, 1965. A little over 12 months later, and a move to Texas, they welcomed their second little bundle of joy, Debra Holland. Not long after having their second child there was yet another move, this time to Morgan City, La. Donald worked the bulk of his life in the oil field industry and did a lot of traveling for work. When he had any time off of work he enjoyed participating in bass fishing tournaments and deer hunting during hunting season.

- When Donald was born he was given the last name Manning. When he was approximately 8 years old his father decided to go back to the Holland name and had his name as well as the names of all of his children changed to Holland.
