Biography

Alpha L. Holiday, 58, a former resident of Muncie, died suddenly in a Dayton hotel Thursday night.

Holiday has been a resident of Indianapolis in recent years. He was the son of Otto and Maggie Mc Cormick Holiday, formerly of Union Township. Married Verneva Mc Creery 03 Jun 1916.

Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Ben Zang, of San Bernadino, Cal.; one grandson; a brother, Wilbur Holiday, of R.R. 1, Daleville; a nephew, Gilbert Worden of Detroit; and a niece, Peggy Ann Worden, of Detroit. The body has been taken to the Kimmel mortuary in Gaston, where funeral services will be conducted at 3 o'clock Monday afternoon by the Rev. Russell Siferd. The casket will not be opened after the services. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery near Eaton. Friends may call at the mortuary from 4 to 9 o'clock Saturday and from 2 to 5 o'clock Sunday.
