Klaas jans Hofma was born on 9 August 1836 in Katlijk, Schoterland, Friesland, Nederland.[1]
Klaas (29) and Akke Yntzes van der Honing (23) were married on 25 January 1866 in Schoterland, Netherlands. Akke was born on 6 March 1842 in Katlijk. She was the daughter of Yntze Hendriks van der Honing and Antje Stevens Bosma. Their children were:
- Jan Hofma (1866–1877)
- Antje Hofma (1869–1939)
- Yntze Hofma (1871–1873)
- Yntze Hofma (1874–1874)
- Margje Hofma (1875–1883)
- Yntze Hofma (1879–1927)
Klaas died in 1916 in Schoterland, aged 79.
