They arrived in Port Adelaide, South Australia on 7th October 1852 (sailed from London / Plymouth 21st June 1852). ^[4]

Eliza Caroline Hobbs (age 18, daughter of Enoch Hobbs) married Daniel Wickham (age 26, son of Benjamin Wickham) on 14 Jan 1857 at the Wesleyan Chapel, Pirie St, Adelaide, South Australia. ^[5]

She was buried at West Terrace Cemetery (PLOT: Road 1 Nth), Adelaide, South Australia. ^[7]

OBITUARY.

Mrs. Wickham, who died at her residence, Park-terrace, North Unley, on Saturday, at the age of 88, was the widow of Mr. Daniel Wickham. She was born in Gloucestershire on May 1, 1839, and when 14 years of age came to South Australia with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Enoch Hobbs, who settled at Reedbeds, and later at McLaren Flat. In 1856 she married Mr. Wickham, of Wickham Hill, Kangarilla. In 1902 they went to live in Unley, and after Mr. Wickham's death in 1911, his widow moved to Park-terrace. There were 11 children, nine of whom survive. They are:— Messrs. Benjamin Wickham, Sydney Clifford Wickham, and Walter Horace Wickham (McLaren Vale), Mr. Ernest Matthew Wickham (Wickham Hill), Mesdames J. Hunt (Glandore), F. S. Thorpe (Kangarilla), F. Clarke (Hyde Park), G. Pike (Edwardstown), and M. Eades (Blackwood). There are 50 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren.
