Biography
Harriet was born about 1791. Harriot was baptized 30 Jan 1792 at Ideford, Devon, daughter of John and Thomasin Hoare. [Ideford parish register, copies on FindMyPast] William Haydon sojourner married Harriet Hore otp on 16 Oct 1817 at Dawlish. [Dawlish parish register, copies on FindMyPast] Both signed, witnessed by George Slocombe and Grace Dever. In 1841 William Haydon 45 was a farmer at Staplake Farm, Starcoss, with Harriet 45, William 20, John 20, Harriet 15, Henry 15, Ann 15, George 14, Elizabeth 12, Jane 11, Lucy 9, Emma 7, Thomas 5 and Charles 3. In 1851 Wm Haydon 60 from Kenton was a farmer of 153 acres at Slaplake with Harriet 59 from Ideford, Eliza 22, Jane 20, Lucy 18, Emma 16, Thomas 14, Charles 15, all six born at Kenton, and a servant. Harriet died in 1853 in the St Thomas district. [free BMD] In 1861 William Kenton 70, widower farmer of 210 acres at Staplake,was living with children John 40 widower, Thomas 24, and Emma 26, all born at Kernton, and six servants.
She passed away in 1861.
