Biography

Henry Hill migrated from England to New Zealand.

Henry was baptised on 16 August 1845 at Meole Brace, Shropshire.^[1] He was the second son of Col. Richard Hill and Maria Bringhurst.^[2]

After immigrating to New Zealand he married Nora Alice Scott in 1870.^[3] Together they had the following children:

• Alice Isabel b. 1874^[4]
• Henry Alan b. 1877^[5]
• Arthur Ernest (twin) b. 1881,^[6] died an infant.
• Reginald Frederick (twin) b. 1881^[7]
• Ella Mary b. abt 1881
• Rowland Philip b. 1888

He died on 6 July 1923 age 77.^[8][9] He was buried in St Peter's Anglican Churchyard, Upper Riccarton.^[10]
