Biography

The son of Stephen Hill and Sylvia (Frost) Hill, Robert Hill was born in Millville, New York[citation needed] in 1818. He married Adelia (Wood) Hill, the daughter of Stephen Wood and Deborah Knowles, marrying on October 8, 1840[citation needed] and having four known children together:

  1. Albert Jay Hill (1841-1922)
  2. Graham H Hill (1843-)
  3. Cora Augusta Hill (1847-1921)
  4. Helen Augusta Hill (1852-1923)

They made their home in Ridgeway Township, New York, in Orleans County,[1][2] where Robert worked as a merchant.[3][4][5] He later took up milling.[6]

Robert Hill passed away at the age of 52 and is buried at Boxwood Cemetery in Medina, New York.[7]
