I've been exploring various family roots that led to my family in central Iowa: one set of intertwined 19-century immigrants from County Down, in Ireland; another set of related Quaker families from 17th-century Pennsylvania and moving west; and other strands of 18-century Pennsylvania Dutch immigrants, mostly from the Palatinate and Swabia. Naturally, these picked up other affiliations along the way, and I try to explore those as well. Note that while I have a tree on Ancestry.com, I do most of my work on my own computer using Reunion, so I have much more information than the Ancestry link suggests.
