On 9 November 1917 Winifred May Hewitt enlisted as a staff nurse in the Australian Imperial Force. She had worked as a nurse for 3 years in the Homeopathic Hospital.[2]
Winnifred married James W W Lee in 1920 in Sydney, New South Wales.[3]
