Biography

Elvin Herman Heuer was born on 3 Jul 1879 ^[1] in Elk Grove, Cook, Illinois. ^[2] He was the son of Heinrich Heuer and Sophia Fedderke. He passed away in 1943.

When the census was taken on 25 Jun 1880 he was listed as being one year old and living with his family in Elk Grove. ^[3]

He married Kathryn Connolly in 1908 in Chicago, Cook, Illinois. ^[4]

He died on 24 Aug 1943 in Chicago, and was buried on 27 Aug 1943 ^[5] at All Saints Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum in Des Plaines, Cook, Illinois. ^[6]

Research Notes

His death record says he was born on 3 Jul 1880, and his gravestone is engraved with 1880, but that appears incorrect. Both his WW1 and WW2 draft cards, where he would have given the information himself, say 3 Jul 1879. And he was listed in the 1880 census which was ennumerated on 25 Jun 1880 as being 1 year old. He would have actually been a week short of that, but would not have been listed if he wasn't born yet.
