"Brought the Black Death to Iceland. Called Hval-Einar. By the year 1402 in Nýi Annáll it says ...Hval-Einar came out (to Iceland) with his own ship and with it such a leathal pandemic that people dropped dead within 3 nights.... ... Was stabbed to death on ascension day in the graveyard at Skúmsstaðir... according to Lögmannsanáll" (Íslendingabók).^[1][2]
