Biography

Alvera (Henning) Salisbury was born in the Colony of Victoria (1851-1900)

Christine Alvera Henning was born on August 8, 1891 in Frankston, Colony of Victoria.^[1] Her parents were Carl August Henning and Lutzia Sophia Poulson. She was known as Alvera.

Alvera married Arthur Theodore Salisbury (1890 - 1950) on August 30, 1913 at St Alban's Church of England in Armadale, Victoria.^[2][3]

Together they had the following children:

2. Lucie Jean "Nell" Salisbury (1915 - 1921) married Ray Alfred Sheppard
3. Elsie Charlotte May Salisbury (1917 - 2010) married William "Bill" McClement

Alvera was widowed in February 1950.

Alvera died on August 11, 1977 at the Chelsea Hospital in Cheltenham aged 86.^[4][5] Her ashes were scattered under a rose tree in the Tristania garden at Springvale Botanical Cemetery.^[6][7]
