Charles, son of Stephen Hendy & Louisa, was baptised on 11 August 1895 in Southwick, Durham, England.[1]
The surname Hendy and Hendey are used interchangeably in the records and said to be the same name [2]
In 1911, aged 15, Charles was working as a Coal Miner Driver (below Ground) and living in Harraton, Durham [3]
Charles's death (age 38) was registered in the Jan-Feb-Mar quarter of 1934 in the Sunderland district.[4]
