Biography

Lily was born in 1871. Her birth was registered in Keynsham and her mother's maiden name was Golding. ^[1] Her father was listed on her marriage certificate as John.

In 1881 Lily was living with her grandparents, Arthur and Sarah in Kingswood. 2 Aunts also lived there. Arthur was a Boiler Maker. ^[2] She also lived there in 1891, with another grandchild, John.

In 24 December 1898 Lily married George Henry Croot at Bitton. George was a Shoemaker. Her father John had been a Boiler Maker. ^[3]

In 1911 Lily and George were living in Bristol with their 2 children and she was a Boot Trade machinist. George was a Boot Trade Clicker. Lily's mother Emily was also living there. ^[4] In 1919 Lily received a pension from the War Officer as her son Arthur John was Killed in the War.

Lily died aged 71 in 1943. Her death was registered in Bristol. ^[5]
