Biography

Eleanor was born on 11 May 1906 in Stanwick, Yorkshire, England. She was the daughter of Thomas Hendrie and Jane Hendrie née Burlinson.

Eleanor had a relationship with an unknown man, and they had a son, Hugh Rex Hendrie in 1925. Such was the stigma at the time of having children out of wedlock the family moved from Yorkshire to southern England.

She married Charles Robert Meynell Hunt in September quarter 1929 at Eastbourne, Sussex, England. They had one son.
