Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, coordinating with others is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.
Based on your tags the Mayflower Project may fit your research focus. If not, use the Pre-1700 Projects list to review other possibilities. Read the goals and tasks of the projects and join those which are a good fit.

Hi Lisa, Welcome to WikiTree! Wonderful to see you adding early Ontario settlers to the tree. We add locations according to the names used by the ancestor at the time he/she lived, so in Ontario that would be Upper Canada to 1841, Canada West to 1867 and Ontario to present. Confusing, I know! If you have any questions, please get in touch.
I see you've been on WikiTree for about a week now. How is it going so far? Was the first page of the New Member How-Tos helpful or did it leave you with questions? It has confused the best of us at times!
If you have any problems or questions click my name above, then ask in the comment section of my page or send me a private message. Just know that anything you ask, I probably asked the same question in the beginning.
