Biography

William was born in 1879. William is the son of John Heaysman and Eliza Cheshire. ^[1]

He married Annie Lenora Brice 4 Mar 1904 at Friends Meeting House, North Adelaide. ^[2]

He passed away age 25 in 1905 in Ridleyton, South Australia ^[3] and was buried in West Terrace Cemetery. ^[4]

KILLED BY A FALL OF EARTH.

Mr. William Heaysman, a married man, about 25 years of age, was on Wednesday afternoon working in a large excavation at his brother's (Mr. F. Heaysman) nursery, on the homestead blocks, North Ridleyton, facing Torrens-road, when he was killed by a fall of earth. He was undermining the earth for sand, and was last seen at work about 4.30 p.m. As he did not return in the evening at his usual hour, a search was made, and he could not be found. Later it was discovered that there had been a fall of earth where Mr. Heaysman had been working, and after a number of men had been digging for about an hour a hand was seen, and soon the body of Mr. Heaysman was found. The position of the body indicated that he had been working in a stooping position, and that the fall of earth had come upon him before he could make any attempt to get away. ^[5]
