Alpheus[1] "Alfred[2][3][4]" O.[2][3][5] Hazard was born about 1868[2][1] in Groton[2], Massachusetts. He was the child[1][2][5] Emeline Messer and Civil War veteran Oliver E. Hazard, the great-grandchild of American Revolutionary War soldier Jonathan Messer, and the husband[2][5] of cousin Nellie M. Hazard.
Alfred and Nellie were married on February 28, 1889 in Leominster, Massachusetts. They had four children, two of them, both called Alfred, died in infancy.
In 1880, he is attending school, probably in or near Sterling, Massachusetts.[1]
He passed away in September 1916 and is buried at Evergreen Cemetery in Leominster, Massachusetts.[5]

Raymoure-1 20:20, 27 April 2020 (UTC): After a tremendous amount of research, I feel confident that Alpheus Hazard is the same person as Alfred Hazard (same birth year, birthplace, parents; complete absence of records for one when the other exists), and distinct from cousin Alpheus Theodore Hazard.
