Alfred Hazard is a part of US Black heritage.

Alpheus[1] "Alfred[2][3][4]" O.[2][3][5] Hazard was born about 1868[2][1] in Groton[2], Massachusetts. He was the child[1][2][5] Emeline Messer and Civil War veteran Oliver E. Hazard, the great-grandchild of American Revolutionary War soldier Jonathan Messer, and the husband[2][5] of cousin Nellie M. Hazard.

Alfred and Nellie were married on February 28, 1889 in Leominster, Massachusetts. They had four children, two of them, both called Alfred, died in infancy.

Education

In 1880, he is attending school, probably in or near Sterling, Massachusetts.[1]

Raymoure-1 20:20, 27 April 2020 (UTC): After a tremendous amount of research, I feel confident that Alpheus Hazard is the same person as Alfred Hazard (same birth year, birthplace, parents; complete absence of records for one when the other exists), and distinct from cousin Alpheus Theodore Hazard. Merging the profiles for Alpheus and Alfred.

Hazard-761 and Hazard-752 do not represent the same person because: Hey, all, I'm still investigating this. It's unclear if there are two Alpheus Hazard born around the same time or one. It's in the Research Notes, so until someone absolutely clarifies (I'll get back to it eventually), no merge.
