Frederick George Hayter was born on 11 November 1872 in Camden, Colony of New South Wales.. His parents were Jess Hayter and Sarah Louise Hillier.

Orange Blossoms

A wedding which commanded a great amount of interest in Werombi, took place on Tuesday, 26th September in St. Barnabas Church, when Miss Sarah Jane Gibson,, fourth daughter of Mr. W. J. Gibson, of Thorn Grove, was married to Mr. F. G. Hayter, eldest son of Mr. Jess Hayter, of Glen Rock, The ceremony was performed by the rector, Rev. O. J. King, in the presence of a large congregation and relatives of the bride and bridegroom. The church was artistically decorated by Iady friends of the bride, the special features of the decorations were the floral arches, under which the bridal party had to pass. As the bride entered the church with her father, the hymn, "O Perfect Love," was sung by the choir, Miss Jean Cuthel presiding at the organ. The bride was handsomely dressed in cream silk lustre satin and lace trimmings and the customary wreath, and veil, she carried a beautiful bouquet of choice flowers and wore a gold brooch, gift of the bride groom. Miss L. Gibson, sister of the bride was the principal bridesmaid, and was accompanied by Miss Nelly Hayter, sister of the bridegroom, both were attired alike in steel grey, trimmed with cream silk and guipure lace. The bridegroom was support ed by his brother, Mr. E. Hayter. After the ceremony had been concluded the bridal party left the church to the strains of the Wedding March, and proceeded to the residence of the brides parents were the wedding breakfast was partaken of, and a number of appropriate toasts were honored. The bride was the recipient of many handsome and useful presents, after the breakfast games and dancing were kept up till 5 a.m.the following morning. Amongst the guests present were Miss Hayter, (Moss Vale), Mr and Mrs. Jess Hayter, Mr. and Mrs. G. Giddy, Mrs. Meade (Penrith), Miss Donohue Misses Cuthel, Misses Marden, Miss Taylor etc. The newly married couple left shortly after for Penrith, en-route for Bathurst, their future home. TROVE [1]
