DOOLEY— HAYNES. On Tuesday, December 11, 1917, at St. Peter le Bailey Church, Oxford, England, the marriage was celebrated of Lieut. Norval H. Dooley, of Ivanhoe. Victoria, and Sister Olive Haynes, daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. J. C. Haynes, 'Kilbrae', St. Peters. The officiating clergyman was the Rev. J. Stansfield, and the service was fully choral.
The bride, who was given away by Col. H. A. Powell, wore a wedgewood blue coat and skirt, with a fur collar, and a hat of mastic shade.
Sister Eddy, in war uniform, attended the bride, and Gunner J. D. C. Haynes (bride's brother) was best man. After the ceremony the guests partook of a simple war-time breakfast, arranged by some of her friends, at which the orthodox wedding cake was dispensed with.
The guests included Col. and Mrs. H. A. Powell, Rev. and Mrs. J. Stansfield, Mrs. Charleton Yeatman, Mrs. Melville Farmer, Sisters Deere, Packard and Weigall, Lieut. George Day and Dick de Bourbel. Lieut. and Mrs. Dooley subsequently left for London amidst showers of confetti.
