I can find no mention of Edward Hawes in Massachusetts records prior to his marriage in 1648. After that year, his name is next mentioned in 1659, after which time he is mentioned numerous times. He is not mentioned in Anderson's Great Migration Series or "The Great Migration Directory.Watt-266 20:27, 11 September 2017 (EDT)

Death

Died: Between 4 June 1687 and 17 December 1689 in Dedham, Suffolk (now Norfolk), Massachusetts. [4]
Dates his will was made and probated.
Will of Edward Hawse of Dedham.
According to the records of Dedham, Edward "Hawse" died on 28 Jun 1686; however, this appears to be a transcription error or the record applies to a different person.[5] He made his will on 4 June 1687, and it was entered into probate on 17 Dec 1689, so he probably died in late 1689. His wife "Eleoney Hawes" was alive when he made his will.
The following is a transcription of the Will of Edward Hawse, as copied into the probate records of Suffolk County.[6] It is not a transcription of the original Will. I have tried to maintain the unique spelling and abbreviations, but there are probably errors in transcription. I did break the Will into paragraphs for ease of reading.Watt-266 15:18, 13 September 2017 (EDT)

His death date at the top does not match the death date in the Biography. It would have to be between the date he signed his will (4 June 1687) and the date the will was probated (17 December 1689).

I changed his death date to before 17 Dec 1689 (the probate date).

I propose that "daughter" Elizabeth Hawes-342 be removed. There is no source for her birth and the source used for other siblings https://archive.org/stream/ancestorsdescend00maso#page/13/mode/2up does not include her in the list of children.

Not the son of Edmund and Jane (Porter) Hawes, and not the brother of Edmund Hawes-23. Please see Richardson, Douglas: Royal Ancestry: A Study in Colonial and Medieval Families, 5 vols., ed. Kimball G. Everingham, (Salt Lake City, Utah: the author, 2013), volume III, page 272-3, #20.
