Biography

Robert Hatfield lived in Appalachia, in West Virginia.

Robert Edward Lee "Bob" was the third son born to the parents of William Anderson 'Devil Anse' Hatfield and Levisa (Levicy) Chafin. Bob was married three times : 1) Mariah 'Mary' Kate Wolfard, Oct. 6, 1886, no children. 2) Louisa Jane Collins, 1891, two sons. 3) Vida Susan Walls, 1918, three children, two daughters and a son.

After the feud years came to an end, Bob was appointed U.S. Postmaster at Wharncliffe, Mingo Co. which he held for many years. Bob died at the age of sixty-fore and is buried in The Hatfield Cemetery at Sarah Ann, Logan Co. West Virginia.
