Hannah Maria Harris (married name Neate) was born around 1861 in Wiltshire, England, the daughter of Maria (Penny) Harris and John Harris.

She married Edwin Daniel Neate in 1885 in Victoria, Australia.^[1] Their children were:

• Edwin Ambrose Neate (1886–?)
• William Frank Neate (1888–?)
• Henry Charles Neate (1890–1890)

Edwin died in October 1939.^[2]

Hannah died in 1954 in Cheltenham, Victoria, aged 93 years.^[3]
