Ethel (Harriman) Russell is Notable.
Ethel was born in 1897. She was the daughter of investment banker Jefferson Harriman and socialite/progressive activist Florence Hurst.

In 1900 [1], 1910 [2], the family lived in New Castle Twp, Mount Kisco, Westchester, New York.

When Woodrow Wilson became President, the family moved to Washington, D.C. They were at Karlsbad in Bohemia when WWI broke out and the family had to be evacuated. Her father died in December 1914.

In 1917, she applied for a passport to participate in relief work in France and England [3].

She married Henry Potter Russell in 1918.

She worked on Broadway and in Hollywood as an actress and writer under the names Ethel Russell or Ethel Borden.

She passed away in 1953. She is buried in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx, NY.
