Biography

Delona III - her mother and grandmother were also named Delona Yetton. Delona Yetton McGlinch was named for maternal aunt of the same name who had died at childbirth.

After her husband completed his career in the Air Force, the family returned to Scarborough, Maine. She began a teaching career.

Delona had a life-long dream to become a pilot. It wasn't until middle age that she finally fulfilled her dream. She was issued a Private Pilot license on 15 February 1976. She carried a quote from Amelia Earhart, who was one of her heroines in her logbook. [1]
