Biography

James was born ln 17 May 1868,^{[1][2][3][4][5][6]} the second child of Dr James Harlow and his first wife Nancy Caroline Wiggins.

He married Ruth Dryden on 7 Sep 1892 in Troy, Missouri, by Squire J H Dryden.^[7] By 1900, they had moved to Stephenville in Erath Co, Texas, where they lived for many years, raising their family of three: Joe, Dryden, and Bernice born 7 years apart. He worked as a rural mail carrier.^[3][4][5]

Jim and Ruth grew apart and were ultimately divorced.^[8] He passed away at his home in Phillips, Texas, on 19 Aug 1949 and was buried in the Llano Cemetery in Amarillo, Texas.^[9]
