Obituaryrs. Amelia Browne, 88, of 631 Linden Avenue, who died at her home 1155pm Monday of carcinoma. The Rev. Patrick McElliott, pastor, will officiate, with burial in Mount Olivet. A parish rosary will be recited at 8pm Wednesday at O’Keefe and Towne funeral home. Mrs. Browne was born in Hamburg, Germany, July 24, 1871, and married Albert Browne in 1895 at Fergus Falls, Minnesota. She came to Waterloo in 1917 and has resided her since that time. Mrs. Browne was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Amy Suttle, Minneapolis, Minnesota; Mrs. Alice Ledtje, 318 West 18th Street; and Mrs. Lorraine Richards, 631 Linden Avenue; three sons, William, 2128 Mulberry Street; Roy, 2603 Laurel Street; and Eugene, 631 Linden Avenue; 19 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Browne’s husband preceded her in death in 1934. ^[1]
