James "Isaac" Hamrick was born about 1839 in Rutherford County. North Carolina, United States, the son of James Hamrick and Mary (McSwain) Hamrick. He was the brother of William M Hamrick, Elijah Hamrick, Margaret Julia Anne (Hamrick) Lovelace, Joseph P Hamrick, Abriam Hamrick, Sarah Hamrick, David Hamrick, Rebecca Hamrick, Mary Jane Hamrick, Thomas Hamrick, Louisa Elizabeth Hamrick, James Louis Hamrick, Martha Roxanna Hamrick, Vinnie Emaline Hamrick and Susannah Hamrick.
Isaac married Silveraney Jolley( b: Abt 1841 in North Carolina) on 13 January 1858. They had the following children:
James Thomas Hamrick b: 7 Mar 1857 in North Carolina
Isaac died on 27 February 1864 while a POW at Point Lookout. He was buried at Point Lookout Confederate Cemetery in Scotland, St. Mary's County, Maryland.
