Born in Wichita, Kansas, 1965 Father was in the Air Force. Lived briefly in Texas, where brother Paul was born in Oct. 1966 (I don't have any memories from there). Lived with mother and brother in Amorita, Oklahoma (Mom's home town) while dad was in Thailand during the Vietnam War (don't know exact dates) (earliest memories are from living in Amorita). Lived briefly in Dayton Ohio while dad stationed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Attended Kindergarten at Richards-Gebaur Air Force Base (Kansas City). Dad retired from Air Force in 1970. Moved briefly to Bois D'Arc Missouri; started 1st grade there. Moved to Amorita, Oklahoma (Mother's home town). Finished 1st grade through 12th grade at Burlington Public School, Burlington Oklahoma (bus ride from Amorita). Moved to Byron, Oklahoma in 1972; lived there until I left home for college in 1983. Attended Oklahoma State U. 1983-84. Joined U.S. Army in May, 1984. Left Army in March, 1988. Moved to Fairbanks, Alaska in May, 1988. B.S. in Natural Resources Management from University of Alaska-Fairbanks, 1993. Married Rebecca Landingham June 24, 1995. Worked for the Alaska Fire Service and Bureau of Land Management, 1995 to present (writing this in January, 2020). M.S. in Forest Sciences from University of Alaska-Fairbanks, 1996. Bought 80 acres between Two Rivers and Pleasant Valley, Alaska in 2000. Built a cabin and moved there. Had a new house built on the same property in 2010/2011. Still live there at present (writing this in Jan. 2020). Raise goats, sheep, rabbits, mostly for fiber (mohair, wool, angora) and for meat.
