Biography
John (Hamilton-Dalrymple) Dalrymple KT DL is a member of Clan Dalrymple.
John Hamilton Dalrymple, 10th Earl of Stair was born on 1 April 1819. He was the son of North Hamilton Dalrymple, 9th Earl of Stair and Margaret Penny. He married Louisa Jane Henrietta Emily de Franquetot, daughter of Augustin Louis Joseph Casimir Gustave de Franquetot, Duc de Coigny and Henrietta Dundas Dalrymple-Hamilton, on 9 December 1846. He died on 3 December 1903 at age 84. He gained the title of 10th Earl of Stair in 1864.
