Biography

Elizabeth married firstly Richard Lightfoot. Their children included:

She was named in her first husband's will in 1678. ^[7]

After the death of her first husband, a marriage bond was arranged on 25 March 1680 between Richard Scott, aged about 26 a bachelor of the parish of St George Botolph and Elizabeth Lightfoot, aged about 30, a widow of the parish of St Vedast.^[8] Their marriage eventually took place in April 1680 at Hampton, Richmond on Thames. ^[9]

In November 1680 she was named in the codicil of a will drawn up by Elizabeth Lightfoot, the mother of her first husband Richard. She was described as "my daughter Scott, late wife of my son Richard." ^[10] She was still living in 1720 when her second husband's will was drawn up. ^[11]

Research Notes

Her LNAB is assumed from her husband Richard's will, as he names his mother in law Elizabeth Halt as one of the executors.
