Biography

He was a famous painter of nautical scenes.

One of his most famous works is "The Mayflower on Her Arrival in Plymouth Harbor", 1882 (oil-on-canvas), Pilgrim Hall Museum, Plymouth, Massachusetts.

Civil War veteran: U.S. Navy - He served on USS Iroquois.

Buried in the Forest Hills Cemetery and Crematory.[1]
