Annie Watson Hall was born in 1868 in Ayr, Ayrshire, Scotland, United Kingdom.[1]

Annie immigrated from Scotland to Queensland with her family in 1883 aboard Loch Shiel.[2]

Obituary Late Mrs. L. H. Turner Saw First Russian Revolution [6]

Mrs. Leonard Haselwood Turner, who died in Brisbane a few days ago, was an eye-witness of some of the stirring scenes of the first Russian revolution of 1917. The deceased lady for many years divided her time between Australia, England and Continental Europe.
The late Mrs. Turner's husband was a member of a very old Brisbane and Australasian family which dates back through the Rev. Nathaniel Turner to the beginning of the nineteenth century in New Zealand and in Brisbane to 1852, when Mr. John Sargent Turner opened the first branch of the Union Bank here. She was born at Ayr, Scotland, 71 years ago, and as Miss Annie Watson Hall came to Brisbane with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. ,Watson Hall, in 1884. Mr. Hall took , up a position on the teaching staff of the Brisbane Grammar school.
The late Mrs. Turner was married to Mr. Leonard Haselwood Turner at the old Presbyterian Church on Wickham Terrace, in 1888. Mr. Turner died in 1906, and thereafter Mrs. Turner spent a good deal of her time abroad. She was for some years a member of the committee of the Lady Bowen Hospital, and was a foundation member of the Moreton Club. She is survived by a daughter. Mrs. R. H. Bruce Lockhart (England), and Mr. Geoffrey H. Turner (Brisbane), also by two grandchildren. The interment took place at the family grave. Toowong Cemetery.
