Edwin Hall, 28, bachelor, gold chain maker of St James Clerkenwell and son of William Hall, farmer, married Elizabeth Surman, 21, spinster of Great Milton and daughter of William Surman, farmer, on 30 May 1855 in Great Milton, Oxfordshire, England. The witnesses were Joseph Surman, Thirza Surman, Alfred Heath and Sarah Heath.[2]
