Samuel was born in 1759. He was the son of Thomas Haley and Mary Lamson.
Samuel served at least three enlistments in the Continental Army for the Revolutionary War - Capt Samuel Gordon's company, mustered Sep 20, 1776; Capt Enoch Page's company, mustered Sep 12, 1777; Capt Nathan Brown's company, mustered Aug 5, 1778.
He passed away in 1837.
