Mrs. A. Susan A. Person Called To Final Reward

Funeral Tuesday Morning

Called to her final reward Monday morning the spirit of Mrs. Susan A.Person slipped across the borderland, at 8:15 o'clock, the end coming at the residence of her son, D. T.Person of this city following an attack of pneumonia. Mrs. Person was taken seriously ill almost from the first little hope of her recovery had been entertained since Thursday. She was 69 years, 10 months and 8 days of age. Surviving her are seven sons, Elmer Persons of Port Arthur, Max Persons of California, Alton Persons, of Arizona and Bob, Leslie and T. D. Person of this city, two daughters Mrs. Gladys Marion of Chicago, Ill., and Mrs. Evelyn Grover of Gonzales; two brothers, Dave Hale of Laredo and Aaron Hale and two sisters, Mrs. B. G. Person of Kenedy and Mrs. Clark of Lockhart. She also leaves a number of grandchildren. Her husband, Ed Person, passed away about a year and a half ago. Mrs. Person was born and reared in Caldwell county near Lockhart, but had been a resident of Gonzales county for the past twenty five years. For many years she had been a professing christian and a member of the Methodist church. She was a noble wife and mother, devoted to her family, and her passing marks the close of a exceptional service. The funeral which will be held under the direction of Robertson and Seydler, funeral directors has been set for Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock when services will be conducted at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. D. T. Person by Rev. J. W. Allbritten, pastor of the First Methodist church assisted by Dr. O. L. Smith, pastor of the First Baptist church. Interment will be made in the City Cemetery. In their sad loss, the sons and daughters and other loved ones will have the warm sympathy of numerous friends throughout this section.
