Birth

Jane was born on 12 June 1860 in Seapatrick, Down, Ireland. She was the daughter of William Hale and Agnes (Lowery) Hale.^[1]

Marriage

When Jane was 21 she married John Scott on 20 September 1881 in Banbridge, Ireland.^[2][3]

Arrival

After the death of her parents, Jane along with most of her brothers and sisters arrived in the United States in 1881.^[4]
