Biography
Esther Ballinger was born on 24 June 1761 in Burlington County, New Jersey.[1] She was the daughter of John Haines and Martha Eayre.
Esther was married twice.
Esther first married Isaac Ballinger on 22 May 1799 at Evesham Monthly Meeting (Mount Laurel), Burlington County, New Jersey, USA.[2] Esther and Isaac had the following children:
- Keturah Ballinger b 23 February 1801, d 28 July 1805
- Richard Haines Ballinger b 27 October 1802; m Mary Ann Haines
- Mary Haines Ballinger b 31 August 1806; m Joseph Powell Wills.[3]
Esther (Haines) Ballinger married on 14 November 1816 second, Clayton Brown, son of Samuel and Ann Brown at Upper Evesham Meeting.[3] Esther and Clayton had the following son:
- Isaac Brown b 23 January or May 1818; d 30 July 1886; m Lucy Emlen Eagle, daughter of Amasa Brooks Engle and Sarah Ann Burr.[3]
She passed away on 30 April 1851.[4]
