Hi Joann, I just joined and wondered if we’re related and how? I’d love to be on your trusted list to find more information on the Haines side. I know some of the Names of men but not women. Thank you!
I know there’s connection between George and Sydney as well. I met a George and Ruth Haines in southern Manitoba in 1985 he was deceased, his son flew as a pilot with the snow bird and everyone thought I was their daughter Kim. Wondering if you could make the connection. Thank you
Have a question? I am trying to connect this Haines. He was born in Ohio, Jan., 1840, lived in Williams Co., Ohio, with wife, Rachel A. No children living, 1 died. June, 1900 Census.
Wondering if brother to Amos-5658?
His name was Eli Haines.
Sorry I left this out.
If I have the correct Eli Haines (1840-1918), married to Rachel A Brubecker, it doesn’t appear that he was the brother of Amos Haines-5658. Let me delve into it a bit further tomorrow night. Can you confirm that I have the correct Eli? The one I’ve found was living in Williams County, Ohio. His parents were Michael Haines and Rebecca Lowe.
Thanks K, it looks like Joann has found something of import on Mary Ann Haines-Coon. I wasn't expecting anything to come from our exchange on that but you both totally delivered! Wow!
I will be hopefully adding some more Strongs that I'm related to on my Smith descendency list for this connect-a-thon. Thank you for more information on Robert MK Strong too! :)
Joann, it looks like the ancestor profile for Caleb Haines from colonial New Jersey will figure into our week of research October 6–13 on the ancestry of actor Mark Hamill. Would you want to join in the fun? Here's the scoop:
I've been working some Haines profiles and I want them to be as accurate as possible.
I'm wondering if Sharpe-1357 may be the son of Haines-4797 and the husband of Haines-6129.
Seems no coincidence that both Job's have same birthdate, born in VA.
Thanks for thanks!

Welcome to Wikitree! It’s a great community. I’ll send a longer reply privately.
I'm 99% sure that is the correct one. I sent you a separate message addressing your answer. Thanks, always, my "Haines" kin.
p.s. By the way, Phebe Haines-2110 was my 5th Great-Aunt.

I just sent a private message, but I think it might have been sent only to me. Bother!
Anyway, I don’t see which profile you are questioning. Could you send me the link?
Thanks, Joann

I was wondering if you might give some insight on the parents of Haines-6208? For me and Holloway-6014. Thanks!
Sorry, I haven’t found much about her. I’ll private message details.
If anyone could get an answer, Joann was your gal! She's a "super sleuth" especially with Haines lineage! Know doubt, it was meant to be discovered.

If you can’t ask a cousin (however distant she may be) then who can you ask? LOL.
Again thanks so much

I’m so glad to know that my explanation was helpful. Yea! I wasn’t sure if I was answering the right questions, or if my explanations made sense.
You’re very welcome, cousin!
Best, Joann
You do such an excellent job!
Your profiles are also excellent!
I enjoyed the great story on Cooper-10298! I miss these great actors. Also appreciate your recent thank you's.
I’m so glad you liked my comment on Cooper-10298. I hope the link to the article added some background color to his early life.
Thank you for your thank you’s to me! It’s nice to be appreciated. :)
